DC resistance testing is an essential procedure for transformers—required during semi-finished/finished product factory inspections, installation, handover, and preventive maintenance by power authorities. This test effectively identifies manufacturing flaws (e.g., substandard coil materials, poor welding, loose joints, missing conductor strands, wire breakage) and post-operation risks. Main Functions and Features
- The instrument can perform three-phase measurement tests on Yn, Y, and Δ windings and calculate the three-phase imbalance rate.
- The test power supply has a maximum output current of 20A and a test range of 0–25kΩ, meeting the testing requirements of most transformers. It also integrates magnetization and demagnetization functions to meet various on-site testing needs.
- The instrument automatically calculates the resistance change rate over 5, 15, and 30 seconds during the test, assisting testers in judging the stability of test data and preventing misreading.
- The instrument has multiple protection functions, including back EMF protection, line breakage protection, and power failure protection.

Precautions:
When testing the no-load tap changer, switching the no-load tap changer is not permitted during the test or before complete discharge.
During testing or discharge, it is not permitted to disconnect the test leads or turn off the power switch.
During transformer testing, the unmeasured windings of the transformer must be open-circuited.
