XHBX1502

Once a transformer’s design and manufacturing are finalized, its coils and internal structure are permanently set. For the coils of a multi-winding transformer, if they share the same voltage class and winding method, the corresponding parameters (Ci, Li) of each coil will be fixed. Consequently, the frequency-domain characteristic response of each coil is also determined, and the frequency spectra of the corresponding three-phase coils exhibit a certain degree of comparability.
Interturn or phase-to-phase short circuits occurring during transformer testing, impacts sustained during transportation (which cause relative displacement of coils), and coil deformation induced by electromagnetic forces during short-circuit or fault conditions in operation will all alter the distributed parameters of the transformer windings. This in turn affects and modifies the transformer’s original frequency-domain characteristics—specifically, amplitude changes in frequency response and shifts in resonance frequency points. The Transformer Winding Tester, developed based on response analysis methods, is an innovative non-destructive testing device for detecting internal faults in transformers. It is suitable for testing internal structural faults in power transformers ranging from 63kV to 500kV.
The Transformer Winding Tester quantifies the response changes of internal transformer winding parameters across different frequency domains. It determines the degree of change in the transformer’s internal windings by analyzing the magnitude of these parameter variations, the amplitude and region of frequency response changes, and the trends of such shifts. Based on the measurement results, it then enables judgments on whether the transformer has suffered severe damage and whether major maintenance is required.

Frequency Response Method Characteristics:

1. The transformer winding deformation tester consists of a measurement unit and analysis software. The measurement unit is controlled by a high-speed single-chip microcomputer and comprises signal generation and signal measurement components. The measurement unit connects to a tablet or laptop computer via a USB interface.

2. During testing, only the transformer's connecting busbars need to be disconnected; all tests can be completed without lifting the transformer cover or disassembling the transformer.

3. The instrument features multiple linear frequency sweep measurement systems, with a linear frequency sweep range up to [frequency value].
